Student Genius Hour

Above, one of my students demonstrates his Genius Hour on Yellowstone National Park geysers by putting Mentos in a soda bottle to show its effects. Part of his design was to recreate a geyser with clay, rocks, sticks and draw what underneath a geyser would look like.

Two students explain what they learned about Plasma Lamps and the effects of the electricity within. Additionally, not shown, is the second part of the project that involved me placing a quarter on the top, and using a paper clip to draw out the electricity into little arks.
